The Senior Executive Solicitor is a management position within the local authority service and will be required to work under the supervision and direction of the Law Agent/Assistant Law Agent or Senior Solicitor. The Senior Executive Solicitor provides a comprehensive service to the City Council in local government law including without being exhaustive, conveyancing, litigation, dispute resolution, procurement and commercial and EU law.

Providing general legal advice on all matters, in particular statutory and regulatory matters, as required.
Providing legal services and advices on Conveyancing services/ Compulsory Purchase Orders/ Leasing.
Regulatory / Code Enforcement.
Litigation – management of legal proceedings on behalf of the Council.

An opportunity now exists in Dublin City Council for the position of Senior Executive Solicitor.
Salary Scale effective from 1st February 2026:
€79,881- €82,330 - €83,503 - €85,968 - €88,454 - €90,933 - €93,430 (Maximum) €96,567 (1st LSI) (after 3 years satisfactory service on the Maximum) - €99,695 2nd LSI 2 (after 3 years satisfactory service on 1st LSI)
Hours of attendance will be fixed from time to time but will amount to not less than 35 hours gross per week.
The annual leave allowance for the position of Senior Executive Solicitor is 30 days.
